The Communities We Serve

Willamette Oaks residents come from all over the U.S. but many have ties to Eugene and the surrounding Lane County area.  Many spent decades building their lives in nearby neighborhoods and towns. When they move here, they’re not leaving that behind. They’re simply choosing an easier way to stay connected to it.

Here are some of the communities we hear about most often—and what residents say still matters most to them.

Eugene

Many of our residents have deep roots in Eugene. They talk about walks along the Willamette River, afternoons at Hendricks Park or the Owen Rose Garden, Duck games at the University of Oregon, and the easy rhythm of a city that values nature and ideas.  Living at Willamette Oaks lets you keep all of that close, while trading yardwork and home repairs for river views, raised garden beds, and neighbors who love a good conversation

Springfield

Residents coming from Springfield often mention the McKenzie River, local parks, and the close-knit feel of their neighborhoods. Convenience matters too—being near PeaceHealth RiverBend, shopping, and familiar routes around town.

At Willamette Oaks, they enjoy private access to 900 feet of Willamette Riverfront access. For many, that daily time by the water feels grounding and familiar. Add in transportation when you need it and fewer household responsibilities, and life here feels a little simpler and a lot lighter.

Coburg

Coburg residents often loved the historic charm, small-town pace, and open farmland views. It’s a place where people value quiet mornings and knowing their neighbors.

At Willamette Oaks, they find that same calm atmosphere but with more opportunities to connect, share meals, and enjoy community without the responsibilities of maintaining a home.

Corvallis

For those coming from Corvallis, time outdoors and intellectual engagement often go hand in hand. Many enjoyed Oregon State University events, riverside trails, farmers markets, and a culture of lifelong learning.  Here, residents join book groups, lectures, fitness classes, and outings, while still being close enough for visits back to Corvallis whenever they like.

Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove residents often mention the Covered Bridges Scenic Bikeway, community events, and the beauty of living near forests and water. At Willamette Oaks, they keep that connection to nature—especially with gated access to the Willamette River path—while gaining the comfort of 24/7 support and a welcoming circle of neighbors.

Creswell

People from Creswell often appreciated the slower pace, golf courses, and proximity to open space. Life here offers that same breathing room, along with chef-prepared meals, housekeeping, and a built-in community that makes each day feel fuller (if and when you want it to be)

Veneta and Noti

Residents from Veneta and Noti often speak about open skies, Fern Ridge Lake, and a quieter rural lifestyle. At Willamette Oaks, they keep access to the outdoors while gardening, walking, fishing, or watching wildlife—while enjoying more connection and fewer things to manage.

Florence and the Oregon Coast

Some residents have come from Florence and other coastal communities in Lane County. They often miss the beauty of the sea and wildlife most. Living along the Willamette River offers that daily connection to water along, with easy access to Eugene’s healthcare, shopping, and cultural life.

Lane County and Beyond

While many residents come from Eugene and the surrounding towns, others arrive from across Oregon and beyond to be closer to family in Lane County. What they often share is a desire for independence and a place that feels both peaceful and engaged. At Willamette Oaks, neighbors stay close to the river, nature, and each other.
